The Central Instrument Facility & Services (CIFS), is the hub of instrumentation and data processing operations of the institute. It provides sophisticated instrumentation for separation, spectroscopy, imaging techniques and also instruments to determine physical properties of food samples. It is the nodal Centre for calibration, service and maintenance for the instruments installed in the institute. The facility offers hands on training and technical support to the users during analysis. The users are the Scientists, Research Scholars, MSc Food Tech Students, Project fellows etc. These services are also extended to external users from various universities and industries.
